The library card is free if you live in Nutley, work
in Nutley or if you go to school in Nutley. You can sign up now by clicking:
Apply Online for a Library Card. Then come down to the library (with
a parent if you are under 18) to pick up your card. You, or your parent,
must show a picture ID with a current form of identification with a Nutley
address, such as a driver's license, lease, utility bill, or phone bill.
The resident library card must be renewed every three years. Cards for
those who work or go to school in Nutley must be renewed each year.
If the card is lost, please notify the library immediately. There will
be a $5.00 charge for a replacement card. The card can be used in Nutley
and any of the 74 other libraries in the BCCLS system (Bergen County
Cooperative Library System). A list of and directions to all of the
libraries are available in our library circulation desk area.
You can get your card on the same day and begin taking
out books and other materials, such as: CD-ROMs, audio books, DVDs and
music CDs. You can use it online to renew materials, reserve materials,
sign up for date due reminders, download audio books, listen to music,
and use the information and homework help sources that the library makes
available 24/7. Most books can be charged out for twenty-eight days,
CD-ROMs and CDs for fourteen days, and DVDs for one week except for
the new arrivals which are for 2 days (children and teens must have
parental permission to borrow DVDs).
You can pick up newsletters that list all of the current
programs.
